Fuelled By People - Meet Georgi Rachev

Every journey starts somewhere, and for Georgi it was about exploring new opportunities and discovering where his skills could take him.

When Georgi finished school, he began work as a Computer Technician, looking into the hardware aspects of IT.

After a while, he wanted to discover different IT elements, and that is where Morgan Fuels took him.

"After some time, I wanted to explore the technical side of IT and joining Morgan Fuels allowed me to do just that."

Georgi knew Morgan Fuels would be good for him as it is a place widely known for progressing and building a career.

"Morgan Fuels is a company well-known for career progression and growth, which is an exciting thought to have when it comes to my personal growth within the IT sector."

No two days are ever the same for Georgi. One minute he could be sorting an IT issue, the next he's helping a colleague or tackling a completely unexpected problem. There is always something new to figure out, keeping Georgi busy.

IT support is never just IT support...

"Sometimes I take on the role of a therapist or a counsellor while helping users with their IT tickets."

Georgi's favourite part of his job at Morgan Fuels is problem solving.

"There are days where you get 10 problems and eliminate them before lunch, there are also days where you get stuck on 1 problem, which takes up your entire working day."

Nothing beats the feeling of finding a fix.

"This is what makes my job the most interesting, once solved, the feeling is super rewarding."

"The best thing about working at Morgan Fuels is that everyone is treated like family. It's reassuring to know that my work is recognised and that my voice is heard."

Being able to work alongside company directors eases pressure and is one of the elements he finds motivating.

"Everyone works together to contribute to the company's growth as a team."

Challenge, support and opportunity go hand in hand.

Turning pressure into valuable experience.

"I was responsible for setting up the virtual meeting with teams in Leeds and Poland, recording the event and managing the presentation setup. A faulty HDMI cable provided by the venue caused unexpected delays."

Nothing like a ticking clock to add some pressure!

"I had to troubleshoot under significant time pressure. Everything was ready just in time for the event to begin."

"It was a stressful situation, but a valuable experience, highlighting the importance of remaining calm under pressure."
These are the moments that remind us that keeping calm will be much more beneficial in solving problems.

Outside of work, Georgi enjoys keeping active through MMA and running with his teammates.

"I started in boxing, but transitioned to MMA (the much superior sport, Paddy Faloon knows it, but won't admit it.)"

Georgi enjoys travelling, and has been lucky enough to visit over 10 countries!

"My top three destinations would have to be Bulgaria, The Netherlands and the Austrian Alps."

"Whether it's exploring new cultures, enjoying the local food, or taking in the scenery, I always look forward to my next trip."
Looks like his passport is well used!

Georgi's journey is a reminder that growth comes from being open to new opportunities and trying new things.

At Morgan Fuels, it's not just about where you start, but how far you can go.
